Menghai Tea Factory is one of the oldest and most reputable enterprises in China, as well as a respected tea brand. Founded in 1940 in Menghai County, the factory was originally called Fohan Tea Factory, but in 1953 it was renamed Menghai Tea Factory. Initially, the factory was state-owned, but in the early 80s it was privatized, and in 1996 it was completely transferred to private hands.

The full name of the factory is "Menghai Tea Factory, TEATEA Group Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, China", but in China it is more often known as Da Yi, which can be translated as "Welfare for All".

The main products of the factory are pressed and loose Pu'er, which is known for its high quality and is in great demand among collectors and connoisseurs of tea around the world. One of the unusual representatives of this range is Sheng Puer Da Yi 7542 weighing 150 grams, released in an exclusive gift design with beautiful cardboard packaging. Sheng Puer 7542 is considered a classic, standard and the most common green Puer produced at this factory.

The number in the tea name contains the following information: the first two digits are the year of creation, the third digit is the tea leaf variety, the fourth is the factory code. For the Da Yi factory, the code remains constant - "2".

Taste and aroma

Outwardly, the tea cake is dark, oily, with characteristic fleecy buds. Inside - strong juicy leaves. The aroma of tea is pure and persistent, with fruity and floral notes, the taste is deep, with a pleasant sweet aftertaste, the infusion is shiny, yellow. The "tea bottom" is homogeneous and uniform. The taste of tea becomes even more intense over time due to long-term storage.
