Linden blossoms increase sweating and diuresis, enhance bile secretion and improve its flow into the duodenum, enhance gastric juice secretion, slightly reduce blood viscosity, and have a mild sedative effect on the central nervous system.

It has anti-inflammatory, astringent, and hypotensive properties. In folk medicine, eyebright is most often prescribed internally and externally (as a poultice) for inflammation of the eyes, eyelids, lacrimal sacs, styes, and corneal spots.

The laxative property of senna is the main reason for its widespread use in medicine. Senna herb is useful for constipation, is used to cleanse the body, as well as for diseases in which the condition requires unhindered bowel movement and soft stools: hemorrhoids, cracks in the anus mucosa, ulcerative colitis and others.

It has choleretic, diuretic, antispasmodic, expectorant, sedative, hypnotic, diaphoretic, laxative properties. Anti-tuberculosis, antiviral, fungicidal, anthelmintic, anticarcinogenic properties have also been established.
