Preparations of common hops exhibit calming, diuretic, capillary-strengthening, anti-inflammatory, antiulcer, bactericidal, analgesic, anti-allergic properties. An effect on the regulation of fat, mineral and water metabolism has been established. They also increase appetite and improve digestion.

Common hops in combination with other medicinal plants will be effective in the treatment of cystitis and pyelonephritis. Hop preparations are recommended for the treatment of insomnia, vegetative-vascular dystonia, as well as hypomenstrual syndrome (due to estrogenic insufficiency of the ovaries), amenorrhea, nervous exhaustion, as a means of strengthening the cardiovascular system. In addition, an infusion of hop cones is used for excessive sexual arousal and to stop lactation.

Externally, an infusion of hop cones, ointment is used to treat bruises, eczema, ulcers, as well as baldness, gouty and rheumatic pain.

Method of preparation and use:

Pour 1 teaspoon (1.5 g) of crushed plant material with one glass (200 ml) of boiling water, leave for 15 minutes, strain the infusion. Adults take 1 glass (200 ml) 2 times a day during meals. Duration of administration is 1 month. Repeated administration is possible during the year. Before use, it is recommended to consult a doctor.
