The leaves for this oolong come from the Baoshan area in Yunnan. Using a process similar to that of jasmine tea scenting, this oolong was infused with magnolia blossoms over the course of five consecutive nights. Each evening, the spent flowers were replaced with fresh ones, which imparted their fragrance to the tea leaves overnight. The scenting process takes place in Guangxi province, where fresh magnolia blossoms are readily available. The result is a tea with a creamy, sweet floral aroma and flavor, known not only for its taste but also for its proven aromatherapeutic properties.
